You can estimate the combined incentive for STC across all installations and VEEC for Victorian installations.
• Victorian VEEC: A one-off incentive for eligible 30 kW to 200 kW commercial solar PV systems.
You may be eligible if:
• You are a commercial owner;
• You are based in Victoria;
• You install an inverter of at least 30kVA;
• The total PV capacity is from 30kW to 200kW;
• The owner enters a DNSP contract;
• The equipment is on the Clean Energy Council (CEC) approved list;
• The installer and designer are SAA accredited.
The rebates listed in the calculator are financial incentives provided by Australian federal or state governments for battery installations or onboarding a battery to a Virtual Power Plant (VPP). Most renewable energy incentives are issued as tradable certificates that solar retailer companies must rely on a registered agent or Accredited Certificate Provider (ACP) to create and trade those certificates.
Once the owner assigns the right to create certificates to an agent or ACP and the installation is complete, the incentive is paid to the nominated solar retailer.
Solar retailers can apply an upfront discount to reduce the system's equipment and installation costs for the owner.
This calculator includes the following rebates:
• STC – Battery: A federal incentive available from 1 July 2025, based on battery capacity and installation compliance.
• WA Residential Battery Rebate: A state rebate for Synergy and Horizon Power customers, based on battery size (up to 10kWh) and participation in a Virtual Power Plant (VPP).
• NSW VPP Incentive (BESS2): A one-off incentive (up to $1,500) for eligible battery systems connected to a VPP through an ACP.
• NSW PDRS Battery Incentive for Apartments (BESS3): A NSW incentive for eligible battery systems from 20kWh to 200kWh installed at Class 2 buildings.
• NSW PDRS Battery Incentive for Businesses (BESS4): A NSW incentive for eligible battery systems from 20kWh to 200kWh installed for small and medium businesses.
• NSW PDRS C&I Battery Incentive (BESS5): A NSW incentive for eligible large-scale battery systems from 200kWh to 30MWh.

• The installation fully complies with all equipment, installation, and design requirements;
• You go through an ACP (Accredited Certificate Provider).
Yes. You can stack federal and state incentives.
• The federal STC rebate, either the NSW PDRS incentives or the WA Battery Rebate, as long as your system and installation meet the respective eligibility criteria.
